GEORGE ADAMS Sr & Jr LOCATION London. England. HISTORY George Adams Sr 1709 - 1772, was a manufacturer of mathematical instruments to King George III (1738-1820). He was a creator of celestial and terrestrial globes. He also built microscopes, his Micrographia illustrata, London, 1746, is famous. (1750-1795). George Adams Jr 1750 - 1795, continued in his father George Adams footsteps. He wrote many treatises on instruments and experimental philosophy: Essay on Vision (London, 1789), Astronomical and Geographical Essays (London,1789), and more.
