| INGEBORG BRUHN LOCATION Denmark. HISTORY Not a maker in the words real sense but a devoted amatuer who deserves to be mentioned in the history of Mars Globes! A fascinaiting woman who a long time of her life was bound to the sickbed. She had a great interest for astronomy and especially so for the planet Mars. So great that she made several Mars globes, in the 1915 -1921 period, by hand from the drawings of Percival Lowell's books. And this she made in her sickbed! Only a few remaining examples are known One is in the Ole Rømer Mueseum-Copenhagen, one in the Vatican, one in the Collections of The London University and two in privat hands. | |
