DIETRICH REIMER LOCATION Berlin. Germany HISTORY Dietrich Reimer, 1818 - 1899, started his firm in 1845. In 1852 he bought the C Adami firm, C Adami worked thereafter in the Reimer firm as a cartographer. Another wellknown cartographer who also worked in the Reimer firm was H Kiepert, 1818 - 1899. Reimer Verlag published several astronomical models in the 1860 - 1900 period. In 1899 they published a Relief Globe Of The Moon by E Lade, possibly the only relief globe of the moon that was made in the 19th Century!? The firm continued after Dietrich R death in 1899, well into the middle of the 20th Century.
